Opened your electric bill yet?

Maryland families are paying some of the highest electric bills in our region—and it didn’t have to be this way.

While states like Virginia and West Virginia continue to produce more of their own power, Maryland has become increasingly dependent on energy from outside the state. At the same time, demand is rising fast, especially with the growth of data centers across the PJM grid.

The result? Higher costs for you.

And it’s about to get worse.

More in-state power plants are scheduled to shut down in the coming years, which means even less local supply and even more pressure on prices.

We don’t need to accept that.

I have a plan to bring costs down and restore energy stability in Maryland:

  • Bring reliable power generation back online where possible

  • Expand cleaner natural gas capacity and modernize existing infrastructure

  • Advance small modular nuclear reactors (SMRs)

  • Require large-scale energy users, like data centers, to carry more of their own load

This is about one thing: lowering your electric bill and protecting Maryland families from rising costs.
