“You have to raise the tolls high enough” to pay for our bridge construction. – Ed Hale, Sean & Co., WCBM, 5/27/2026

| Dear Dan Cox for Governor, Yes, he really said it out loud. Ed Hale today promised to raise tolls in Maryland “to pay for our bridges” after Governor Larry Hogan lowered them. And then he disrespected the entire Republican party by claiming that the “others” running are “ridiculous.” No matter whether one should vote for them or not, it is elitist to claim that Republican candidates who didn’t change from Democrat nearly yesterday like Ed Hale are “ridiculous.” Ed Hale should be more respectful of our Party.  Sean: “If you do not win on June 23, will you support the GOP nominee against Wes Moore? Ed Hale: “No. I will not support either one of these two [GOP] people running against me.” Sean: “but I believe there are like nine running…” Ed Hale: “yeah but the others are ridiculous.” But that is not all: Hale announced he will NOT debate his Republican opponents and that he will NOT support whoever the Republican nominee is against Wes Moore. He further failed to answer the question how he will unify and build the Republican Party if he wins, as he would be the head of the Party. Instead, he merely said he is getting some elected GOP endorsements but offered no plan or vision to help build a future to fix our gerrymandered state, expand opportunities for ownership and lower costs, and reduce big government. And he didn’t stop there. He refused to directly promise to repeal the bloated Kirwan education budget (while he failed to remember the common name “Blueprint for Maryland’s Future”). Here is the real kicker for most parents as well: when Sean asked him directly if he, as governor, would support overturning the regulations preventing parents from knowing their child’s gender identity change discussions happening behind their backs and order schools to tell parents, he actually gave a confusing answer and should clarify. Sean: “a policy of the Maryland State Department of Education [regarding transgender direction], as governor you would lead the charge here. As governor, are you in favor of instructing the Maryland Department of Education to remove this part of the curriculum, instruction, and direction – should parents be told when their children identify as another gender?” Ed Hale: “[laughing] you know what the answer is to that one [laughing], it’s so weird it’s indescribably weird, No, I want the state out, let parents parent.” What does that mean? It means it seems that Hale will NOT seek to overturn the policy of hiding the information from parents because he doesn’t want teachers involved in telling parents what is going on with their child. That is dangerous to the child and prevents their best support – the parents – from knowing serious information necessary for the care, custody and upbringing of their child. It is no secret that Ed Hale’s money empowered the Governorship of O’Malley who transgendered our children and state with SB 212 (2014) “Fairness for All Marylanders Act” which began the process of allowing regulations in education stripping parents of their parental rights to know the information about their own child. Immediately after the interview, trending markets such as Polymarket indicated a 70% drop in support for Ed Hale to win the GOP nomination, and Dan Cox for the first time reached 80%. Maryland Republicans are aware that any Democrat in Republican’s clothing means MOORE of the same this fall if we don’t nominate a real Republican. I am that Republican and I can not only win but unify and build the Party. I am on record with my common sense plan to restore Maryland. Lower fees and taxes including property taxes and senior retirement taxes;ending VEIP (emissions) fees;slash car registration fees;cut in half utility and electric bills by suspending the green fake deal tax of 30% and bring back online the power plants presently suspended while bringing more online fast (including SMRs and LNG plants);suspend the gas tax;suspend regulatory opposition to construction of new homes and create affordable housing, install both a statewide inspector general and inspector generals over each department and audit them and reduce those departments;repeal Kirwan and ensure the education dollars follows the student to the classroom, appoint parental-rights and school choice advocates to the Accountability board and Board of Education;ensure NO MORE boys in girls sports, ORDER the state BOE to rescind its policy preventing the informing parents of their child’s gender discussions and requiring schools to not hide it from them, and banning boys from entering girls locker rooms and bathrooms. But I am writing to let you know that we need funding to reach 100,000 voters by June 23 and to launch us firmly into the general election to beat Wes Moore. We have had over 10 million views on social media, including over 1.5 million in only the last eight days. But we need to reach each Maryland voter at least three times to gain their support over Wes Moore. Will you donate today $100, $250, $500, or any amount? We need freedom sponsors of $1000 each to launch our radio ads. We need constitutional sponsors of $500 each to launch our mailers. We need donations of $100 or any amount to keep fighting on social media and by getting our signs out to supporters. I humbly ask for your vote and your involvement – including your urgent donation – to help us win for Maryland. Cheers for Freedom, |
