BREAKING: After Gubernatorial Candidate Dan Cox Calls for Emergency Declaration, DC Mayor Bowser Issues Emergency Declaration Regarding The Largest Sewage Disaster in Maryland History, Damaging the Potomac River and Chesapeake Bay, Requesting the President’s Assistance.
“Yesterday, at approximately 6:54 p.m., just hours after candidate for governor of Maryland Dan Cox was on site with Lt. Governor candidate Rob Krop at Locks 10-12 at the Potomac River in Maryland and called on Governor Wes Moore to issue an emergency declaration to activate resources to stop and mitigate the 300 million and counting month-long massive sewage disaster into the Potomac River, Mayor Bowser issued her emergency declaration requesting federal help from the President.
“I urge Governor Moore to quickly follow Mayor Bowser’s lead and do the same today. Time is against inaction. It’s never too late to do what is right, and that includes protecting our residents and their health, and our waterways and Bay.”
